While hiking I saw sheila ,she had just picked out some parsley in a garden close to her home , she kept looking back and staring at my cameras... with the help of her family , she agreed to give a quick smile than she was gone.
Early one morning I ran into 12 year old Nicole up in the mountains in
Seguin. She hid her face every time i tried to take her picture, I was
about to give up when kids playing down the mountain caught her
attention and I snapped this photo of her.
Every so often, the Foundation organizes field trips with the
participation of schools to continue an ongoing forestation program
which is urgently needed. With less than 2 percent of forestation left
in Haiti, Fondation Seguin is using all their resources to save the
environment and to avoid an ecological disaster. This weekend High
school students of the Lyce’e National De Petion Ville are spending 3
days in Seguin with the supervision of the Foundation to have a tour of
the forest and to also plant trees. Unfortunately because of pryor
engagements I was unable to hike up there, but I managed to do a group
shot of the students in Furcy right before they started hiking up to
Seguin. We invite you to visit the Foundation website to see firsthand
the work they have started doing. www.fondationseguin.org
