International women's day : Focus on one of Haiti's gifted & talented dancer - linda I. francois of Ayikodans

When Linda's voice resonates in a class room at Artcho, her eyes blend the energy of a young student with the image she projects as a dancer .Today, after 17 years of hard work, she was able to engage her passion with an achievement which makes it possible to interpret characters in all their truths when she is performing on stage.
The drum impregnated with voices of spirits dialogue with her. She learned to draw from them, which boosts energy and also transmit to the drummer from emulation to summon the gods who descend on stage to dance with her. 
Linda wants the traces of these experiences to resist the erosion of memory. She is a witness of the deterioration of the fragile flame of a sincere love for art. She became aware that the image of a professional expression can deconstruct its offer without offering going beyond a culture that reflects the presence in the world this part of humanity that was born. 
Linda is motivated by the fear of fading traces of its actions at the point they become confused with a substitute who keep only the most insignificant of its expression. She transmits her art with passion so that life continues to weave singular bonds. Her glance seeks in the gestures of dance trainees signs that can predict talents and the ability to dance as in a dream of a relative.

Technical Training / Professional Experience :
Linda, a dancer, soloist, choreographer, teacher worked on the techniques of contemporary African dance, classical, modern, Afro-Cuban, jazz, traditional Haitian dance, ethnic dance, ballroom International 
improvisation, audition technics, choreographic composition, currently working on a program for strengthening the body based on various techniques including pilates / yoga ... 
She attended the following schools: Artcho Dance (Haiti), Ballet Hispanico (New York), School of Dance (Jamaica), Arts and Dance Association (Guadeloupe), Dance Vision Mastery Camps (Los Angeles) 
She also holds a Certificate of Aptitude Technique (EAT) option in contemporary dance and in 1999 won third place in the World Mambo Championship with Emmanuel Pierre-Antoine. 
She had the chance to be a student of some great teachers as: 
Lavinia Williams, Kathryn Sullivan, Jeanguy Saintus, Gerard Florestal, Bob Powers, Lena Blou, Vu-Patricia Ann, Jean-François Ketly, Armando Marten, Frederick Jahn, Moncrief Barry, Rex Netleford, Dayron Napoles 

International tours have taken the dancer to several countries: 
Port of Spain (Trinidad), San Jose (Costa Rica), Santiago (Dom Rep), Basse Terre, Pointe à Pitre, Ste-Anne (Guadeloupe), New York, Miami, Columbus, Ohio (USA) 
Paris (France), Le Marin (Fort de France / Martinique), Tokyo, Nagano, Fukuyama, Biseicho (Japan), Montego Bay, Kingston (Jamaica), Cayenne (French Guiana), Kykkos, Nicosia (Cyprus) Panama City, ( Panama) and most recently in Muziekgebouw (Amsterdam) for the Prince Claus Award Jeanguy a Saintus ...

FESTIVAL OF CHOIRS AT THE SAINTE TRINITE CATHEDRAL

In may 2006, the Sacre’-coeur/ Saint Louis choir took the initiative to organize for the first time in Port-Au-prince a festival of choirs to celebrate their tenth anniversary. The festival brought together 5 choirs [to which the Sacre’- Coeur brass band also participated.]
